Respect Life
seeks to educate our parish and local community on the Church’s teaching on the life issues (abortion, euthanasia, embryonic stem cell research, contraception, cloning, IVF),  to promote prayer and social action in support of Church teaching, to support pregnant mothers in our parish and community, and to help post-abortive men and women find healing.
Our goal is to promote respect for life across its spectrum from conception to natural death. Some of our activities include :
  • March for Life in Washington, D.C. (coordinating bus transportation)
  • National Night of Prayer for Life in December, including Eucharistic Adoration, Prayer and the Rosary.
  • Support of the Pregnancy Centers of Central Virginia including the Spring Walk for Life and Fall Banquets
  • Life Chain Event
  • Participation in the 40 Days for Life Campaign
  • National and other local and diocesan activities as they arise such as petitions and postcards for congressional bills.
